Whitney- The 1920s are fascinating to me. There was a cultural shift happening and people were expressing themselves through fashion more than ever.  This decade has always been a style reference point for me and obviously I cannot wait until they finally release The Great Gatsby, the clothes!! I cannot wait.

When I saw this dress I was smitten, the fringing captured my attention and once I took a closer look at the detail I was in love.  Not only pretty, it is probably the most fun I have ever had in a dress! I wore it on my 22nd birthday and twirled around all night, the fringing swinging and following along with every move. This is one of those pieces I will cherish in my wardrobe forever.

Jennifer-  My favorite part of my outfit is my wide-leg dress pants. When worn with a great heel, this style of pant looks incredible! For me it's a sort of feminine-masculine look. The fabric of the pants keeps them dressy, while being classic, and stylish as well. I'm wearing a spaghetti strap top with a sheer back, along with a gold clutch, and sandals that have a bright coral accent, adding a fun pop of color to the outfit!

Denim Days

Jennifer

Jennifer- In this look I'm wearing an oversized long sleeved blue chambray button down shirt which I tied at the hem. Personally, I favor almost any button down style shirt! They can be worn so many different ways,  whether it be a fitted style, or a more loose one. Also in this look I have on my semi-destructed denim jeans, and black pumps.

Tip- It's important to pay attention to color details when pairing a top and bottom of the same color family together. You want to make sure that they pair well. Something that I like to do, is check the colors in natural light when putting an outfit together.

Whitney- I love these patterned jeans by Paige denim, they’re so much fun! I typically wear them with minimalist accessories and a crisp black top. I typically change the black top I wear with these pants depending on the weather, which have been a fall staple for me.

Mid-Season Minis

Jennifer & Whitney

Whitney

Whitney- I absolutely love this sweater. It’s a gorgeous color and goes great with denim and skirts like this one. A true find, spotted it one day when I was visiting the lovely new San Francisco Target downtown. I paired this outfit with bangles to complement the colors in the sweater and my very functional cross body bag (sometimes worn as clutch).

This is our first post with the new blog name La Di Deux! We love the phrase "la di da" for its meaning of "posh," and thought it would be fun to change it to include both of us. The French word duex was only fitting. We wanted to create an outlet to share some of our favorite outfits, fashion finds and inspiration. Hope you enjoy this post!

Jennifer- As soon as I found these blue floral patterned tights I instantly loved them. Not only do I recieve compliments on them every time I wear them, but they are a beautiful color and design!
    1. Today I wore them with a more casual skirt, a blue sweater, and a black military style jacket. The pumps that I chose help to unify the outfit, especially when being worn with the jacket

Two Sequin Blazers, Jeans, and a Dress

Jennifer- Black is always in style, but when I'm wearing an all black outfit I always find myself trying to add something to it. Today I wore a black and green color-block top under a black sequin blazer. I kept it a little more casual with my dark skinny jeans, but not too much! I love these pumps, they have a gold stud detail at the back of the heel that sets them apart from any other!

Whitney- I'm really loving neon hues for Spring. I love this yellow dress, which I bought last year and wore on a trip to NYC. I'm excited to be wearing it again! I paired it with a sequined blazer and these sparkly pointed pumps which have a barely noticeable leopard print and gold-tone outlining the shoe to tie in the yellow dress. I love animal prints! But I think its very important to wear them strategically and these shoes add just enough.
